Sébastien Vauzelle

Global urban development and policy expert, leading efforts to empower local communities and drive innovative, sustainable solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sébastien Vauzelle is the Head of Secretariat of the Local2030 Coalition, the United Nations platform to engage local actors and communities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With 19 years of experience as a political advisor and economist specializing in local development, Sébastien has supported policy and socioeconomic reforms and innovative sustainable development solutions in over ten countries across four continents, in collaboration with national governments, local authorities, civil society, private sector, Academia and youth.

He holds a degree from the Institut d’Études Politiques in France and a master’s in Humanitarian Action and International Development from Aix-Marseille University.
